3. The Great Kapok Tree - Get your headphones and listen to this version of "The Great Kapok Tree". It was created by a 4th grade class at Deep River Elementary a few years ago. As you listen to it, write down the reasons each of the animals gives the man for NOT cutting down the Kapok Tree. (If you have any trouble playing it from our website, I have also put it in the Common Folder in the Collazo Cove Folder.)

Now that you have listened to the story and written down the animal's reasons for leaving the tree alone, create a poster using ONE SLIDE of a PowerPoint. On the slide choose the reason you liked the best from the animals' list. Your poster should convince others in the world to leave the Kapok Trees of the Rain Forest alone for the reason you picked. You can include pictures from clip art if you'd like. Don't use too many pictures, remember your words are important too! Remember all those cool things Mrs. Wood has shown you to make your slide look very professional! We'll post your "posters" on our wiki. When you are finished, save it in your HOME folder and then check your Edmodo account. Click the "Turn In" button and then attach your file to send it to me!
